François Libert has been admitted to the Brussels bar in 1985. He was a member of the High Council of Justice from 2008 to 2013 and from 2015 to 2016. He has been a visiting professor at the Haute Ecole Francisco Ferrer since 2003, and he is a member of the IFJ Institut de Formation Judiciaire He was a director of Avocats Sans Frontières (1995-2000) and of Avocats Sans Frontières World (1998-2001).
